Inner City Tours

We offer guided inner city bicycle tours on a group booking basis. Each tour can be tailored to your interests, or one of our predetermined routes taking in the best of Jozi CBD.

All tours are dependent on group size.

Route 1

  • Distance: c. 6km
  • Time: c 1 hour
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost (inclusive of bicycle hire, helmets and welcome Ethiopian coffee):
  • NOT included any other refreshments: R200
  1. Start at Whippet Cycling Co. in the heart of Maboneng. Cycle via street art in Jeppestown through to Gandhi Square
  2. Cycle through to 1 Fox via the Faith47 mural (c/o Fox and Rissik), mine truck, Nelson Mandela shadow boxing statue and legal offices.
  3. Cycle back to Whippet via Albertina Sisulu

Route 2

  • Distance: c 10km
  • Time: c 2 ½ hours
  • Difficulty: Easy / intermediate (no hills, but a longer distance)
  • Cost (inclusive of bicycle hire, helmets and welcome Ethiopian coffee):
  • NOT included any other refreshments: R250
  1. Start at Whippet Cycling Co. in the heart of Maboneng. Cycle via street art in Jeppestown through to Gandhi Square
  2. Cycle through to 1 Fox via the Faith47 mural (c/o Fox and Rissik), mine truck, Nelson Mandela shadow boxing statue and legal offices.
  3. Braamfontein via Mary Fitzgerald square in Newton and Nelson Mandela Bridge
  4. Stop for optional coffee at Father Coffee in Braamfontein or the       historical Kitcheners pub
  5. Return to Whippet via Simmons and Albertina Sisulu

Route 3

  • Distance: c 11.5km
  • Time: c 4 hours
  • Difficulty: intermediate / advanced due to hills
  • Cost (inclusive of bicycle hire, helmets, welcome Ethiopian coffee, and Ethiopian lunch): R350
  • NOT included any other refreshments
